The 32nd annual Decatur Day In The Park will be held Saturday, July 11.

The schedule for the day’s events includes the parade registration/lineup, 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Decatur Community Center located on state Route 125; Opening Ceremonies begin 10:30 a.m. in the Park located on state Route 125;

Parade Judging begins 10:30 a.m.; Parade begins 11 a.m.; 11:45 a.m. Ben Parker will be playing music from the Band Stand; at noon the 4-H Baking Contest begins; 12:45 p.m. 4-H Bake Sale and Auction; 1 p.m. the Liberty Band performs and 2 p.m. the Burbage Family will be playing music. Baby Show registration will be from 2:30 to 3 p.m. and the Baby Show will begin 3 p.m.; Cornhole contest will also begin at 3 p.m.; 4 p.m. drawing for Split the Pot and gun raffle will finish out the day.

The Byrd Township Fire Department and The Decatur Churches will both be sponsoring a food booth. The Byrd Township School Preservation Committee will provide the ice cream booth with eight flavors of homemade ice cream to choose from. Donations will be taken for the ice cream at this event.

The Byrd Township Fire Department and the Decatur Community sponsor the Day In the Park. Proceeds from this event support Decatur/Byrd Township and community organizations.
