The 32nd annual Decatur Day In The Park will be held Saturday, July 11.

The schedule for the day’s events includes:

10-10:45 a.m. — Parade registration/lineup, Decatur Community Center, state Route 125;

10:30 a.m. — Opening ceremonies, the park, state Route 125;

10:30 a.m. — Parade judging;

11 a.m. — Parade begins;

11:45 a.m. — Ben Parker will be playing music from the Band Stand;

Noon — 4-H baking contest;

12:45 p.m. — 4-H bake sale and auction;

1 p.m. — Liberty Band performs;

2 p.m. — The Burbage Family will be playing music;

2:30-3 p.m. — Baby Show registration;

3 p.m. — Baby Show;

3 p.m. — Cornhole contest;

4 p.m. — Drawing for split the pot and gun raffle will finish out the day.

The Byrd Township Fire Department and the Decatur churches will both be sponsoring a food booth. The Byrd Township School Preservation Committee will provide the ice cream booth with eight flavors of homemade ice cream from which to choose. Donations will be taken for the ice cream at this event.

The Byrd Township Fire Department and the Decatur community sponsor the Day In the Park. Proceeds from this event support Decatur/Byrd Township and community organizations.

Everyone is invited. Bring a lawn chair.
