Martin D. Sparks, a devoted truck driver who shared his passion for music through his guitar playing and held his commercial driver’s license in high regard, passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 69 in Fayetteville, Ohio. Doug was born on January 22, 1955, in Brown County, Ohio to Edgar Sparks and Clara “Ginny” Sallee.

Throughout his life, Doug was known for his dedication to his work as a truck driver and his love for music, often strumming his guitar during breaks on the road. His commitment to safe driving and professionalism earned him respect among his peers.

He leaves behind his beloved daughters Brandi Gibson of Amelia and Kelsey Sparks

of Fayetteville, three grandchildren and a brother, Roy Sparks of CA, who he cared for deeply.

The Celebration of Life to honor Doug’s life will take place in the coming days, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and remember the moments shared with him. Martin will be remembered for his kind spirit, love for music, and his dedication to his profession. May he rest in peace.
